2. Love

She couldn't see his eyes.
He stared down at the floor, hands clasped together.
The girl chewed on her bottom lip nervously. Was he really that uncomfortable around her? She resisted the tears that threatened to burst out; she couldn't cry in front of him. Not in front of him. Anywhere but in front of him.
"Ashleigh..." He started softly.
"Yes?" She quickly replied. Anxiety was taking over her now.
"I just wanted to say-"
"That you hate me? That you don't like me? That I'm ugly and annoying and incredibly stupid?" She burst. She was self-conscious. She knew that was who she was.
"No..." He lifted his head now, and Ashleigh pushed back the temptation to sigh dreamily. Those adorable blue eyes that seemed to shine in the light every time amazed her. Mesmerized her. Perhaps that was what hypnotized her whenever they were around each other.
Oh, and with the bonus of his beautiful voice.
"No, I wasn't going to say that." His voice was firm. "I was going to say that I love you, that I do like you, that you're pretty and kind and incredibly intelligent."
"Y-you... love me?" A gasp escaped her. She wasn't expecting that.
"Yeah, I do. And do you love me back?" Back to his alluring tone again. Oh god.
A wide smile spread across her face, something that glittered with hope and admiration. "Yes."

Here goes my first;

Introduction-
The wind blew in my face, accompanied by dust. Stray strands of hair flew everywhere, but I didn't bother to brush it back neatly. No, I didn't want to. All I wanted to do was to feel the wind.
The breeze was warm, despite the cold weather winter had brought us. The sun, hiding behind patches of clouds, was barely shining, but I didn't feel the slightest chill in my bones at all.
A smile stretched across my face as I squinted up at the sky.
It was the start of something new.

Ahah!

So I've been working on this pretty cool story recently [it's not yet public on inkpop] and it's called Hyper[active] Identities. I really hope people are gonna like it...

Anyway, I made the cover for it!

Hello, world!
I haven't been updating recently- and I apologise deeply for that. Christmas was a very busy holiday [I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that] but now I'm back! And I'll try to post more often.
So what's been happening so far in your lives of 2011?
I, for one, have been spamming my brain with the awesomness of Charlie McDonnell [aka charlieissocoollike]! I just love his accent. Don't you just love his accent? I love English accents(:

It's my solemn promise that I will try to update Down To Earth, but since I've been set a tight schedule by my parents, I haven't got much time to go on the computer.

Well, maybe at school I will.
What a bad girl I am. x]

Good Characters..

You can tell if you have a good character[s] by doing this very small activity-

Describe your character with five different words/phrases.
Support with evidence.

It works best if you do multiple at a time.

An efficient story has at least 3 varieties of different personalities. Try it on your characters!

NaNoWriMo

Just in case any of you don't know, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is November. 
It is a month when all authors come together to create a novel in a month; but of course there are tricks to getting there faster.

One ; Patience and persistence. Never give up. If you do, you'll never be able to finish your story, thus concluding in self-acclaimed writer's block, which is only caused by your state of mind.
Two ; A good plot and good characters! If you bore yourself, you bore your readers. You could print out a workbook which the site [http://ywp.nanowrimo.org] offers for free.
Three ; Leave the fun/boring part for the last. Whatever it means to you. When you're writing, just WRITE. Don't mind the spelling and grammar errors, just WRITE. If you revise as you write, it'll be a long time til you finish your chapter.


I learnt that from experience, mind you. I gave up, I had a boring plot, and I revised as I wrote. How bad am I? xD.
